I wake up to see that the first World Cup match of 2010 ended in a draw between South Africa and Mexico. There is apparently an upset that Mexico scored an equalizer and “stole” a point from what was a momentous first match for the home team.

It was hard trying to find a video of Mexico scoring the drawing point, and apparently WorldCupGoal (that posted the above video) tried posting the video of Mexico’s Rafa making a goal, but it got blocked. I wonder if it’s because people are frustrated and upset that Mexico scored the equaliser and took away the chance for the home team to win in their opening match.

*UPDATE: This morning I drove by Lankershim. A day after the protest, the sidewalk and bushes were lined with coffee cups, wet paper signs, plastic bags, and other trash … still.

Went out to check out the Conan protest at Universal.

I didn’t go down the whole Lankershim street, but saw this at just the corner of Gate 2:

(PS: I’m all for Conan in this matter, but the embarrassing part is that NBC is much more environmentally-friendly than this.)
